My visits to the clinic has always been a great experience. They are Professionals at work; they are kind, thoughtful, and caring. Makes me smile.

Any star more than 1 star given to this clinic Has to have been written by the owner or friends. A few months ago I decided to pay this clinic a visit, as I have type 2 diabetes and needed a clinic close to home. It should not be a big deal, since I only need to see a doctor every 3 months to renew prescriptions. Usually blood tests are done to know whether or not to continue with the same medication. Former patients' complaints included:

1. That the clinic facilitates FEAR MONGERING. In other words, they exaggerate the patient's condition and order unnecessary tests (they conveniently run their own lab in-house). This was EXACTLY what they did to me. These tests provide the necessity for further tests and on and on. Now, you are also required to go to the clinic to know the result of each batch of tests. They will never communicate it with you otherwise. Why? because whoever picks the call is not licensed to read you your results. However, when you get there, they will ask you for a copay and bill your insurance for a regular visit.

2. The clinic FABRICATES reasons for tests, and will order every test known to man before your departure. All I wanted was my fasting blood sugar and blood pressure so I can get my prescription. You almost never see this Dr. Gandhi. I saw a PA who told me I needed, an EKG, chest X-ray, Colonoscopy, Hepatitis B surface antigen test, Hepatitis C test, HIV test, and a host of others! The EKG test took exactly 9 seconds! yes 9 seconds, and we were billed hundreds of dollars for it.

3. That the clinic does little or nothing to prevent cross contamination. Firstly, the sitting area was usually so hot I always used a magazine to fan my 2 year old, who I had the misfortune to take along on my visits. Hospitals and clinics should be cold to discourage bacterial activities. The temperature at this place could have been in the 80s. The first assistant who drew my blood held the tape with her teeth because her hands were full. This tape, not band aid like most patients will prefer, she was going to use on my puncture! The guy who gave me my hepatitis B booster shot wasted half the liquid on my arm. Because he didn't think I saw him, he kept it quiet.

4. The clinic will bill your insurance for anything. I paid $39 for a flu shot! With insurance, nobody pays for flu shots. Their explanation? Oh, you're not paying for the flu shots itself, you're paying for its administration. Now imagine what I ended up being charged out of pocket for all those fabricated cases the insurance deemed unnecessary. Some of their charges have explanations like:

e.g. hepatitis B shot=$200

Hepatitis B shot Administration.: $50.

5. The staff, including Dr. Gandhi, don't know what they do. I did research on Hepatitis B when they suggested I got tested. I was concerned about which test to take first. I had to explain to this Dr. that if he was going to do the surface antigen, we would also need to do the surface antibody. There's no way to determine if I was a good candidate for vaccination if the 2 tests are not performed. Their medical records are the messiest. They are so disorganized that they called me every week for my upcoming appointment, even though I already saw them for that appointment.

The horrible things I learned from this clinic are unbelievable. My advice ( and this is out of 3 months of experience with these guys) is please don't even meddle with the thought of using this clinic. If you find yourself lost in the Serengeti with some wildebeests, and you think you might have Ebola, and this clinic is standing right there, please Still run away and die somewhere else with respect. I am dumbfounded at the thought of this clinic being able to treat Americans in the Great city of Houston. Authorities should now be aware of this and close this clinic down.

Last week was my first time going to Medinet Family Care Clinic, and from the reviews I was hesitant to try out this place. However, discovering that the prices were comparable or even a little bit cheaper than the HEB rediclinic and CVS, I decided to go anyways. I turned out to have a great experience at this clinic. I did not have to wait very long to be seen by the doctor and he was also very understanding and respectful. Also, the place was clean and very comfortable and the staff was very friendly. Overall, I will definitely be going back to this clinic to be seen again.

This place makes you wait for way too long. Had an appointment and two and a half hours of waiting later i'm... still waiting. I am definitely NEVER coming back here again, this is ridiculous.

There was no annoying music playing while I waited or during my visit. I appreciated that they didn't have that typical elevator music on. It was nice to see them treat their staff with so much respect. It was obvious that they had a good relationship with all of their staff members. They answered my questions and spent a lot of time with me. I didn't feel like they were trying to rush my appointment at all.
