My main point I would like to make is that my quality of life has increased do so much. My health had declined so much for ten years I was desperate to find a doctor to help. The Hormone pellets that Dr. Gro has given me has helped so much. I no longer lay in bed and cry. I am back to working and enjoying life. If do incounter complications so be it. I value being able to live each day with out pain and depression.
I have read all the previous post. Yes, Dr. Gro Nurse has been less than personalble. But on my last vist she is retiring and is being replaced by someone very nice.

HUGE WARNING LADIES---please take time to read this as just up till one week ago, I had referred over 2 dozen friends of mine to him for hormone pellets. And was pleased. HOWEVER, after my last pellet injection 10 days ago, I ended up in the ER in Hixson bleeding enormous clots that had been happening over a period of 3 days. They had to do run many tests, was in pain like childbirth pain, on a morphine drip the entire time. and there for 9 hours. ER doc my gyn was called and i was to be in his office the next am and was sure I would have to have hysterectomy. Went to my gyn. who did not know I had gone to see Dr. Gro for pellets 2 years ago. My gyn nurse looked extremely concerned when I told her who had been doing these pellets. My gyn came in very very concerned and said although he has never met Dr. Gro, that he has had to "clean up many messes" created by him. He went then into a very thorough dissertation about hormone pellets being the very last alternative and why, that most gyn do them but as a last resort. He politely and respectfully asked me if I needed heart surgery, would I come to him as he has a licensed surgeon and could perform the surgery but has not been trained for many years and not as a specialist only in that area. I said no, I would go to a cardiologist. He replied exactly so this is why so many local gyn's are having to clean up Dr. Gro's messes because he is a family doctor, My husband said why would he continue to do this procedure while knowing well his patients are having complications and so many records are being requested to be transferred to actual gyn offices? My gyn dr. simply said, "What makes the world go around?" Yes, it is big, big money. Most of Dr Gro's patients are now hormone pellets---think about it. He is paid over $200 per injection by us and ins reimbursements for less than 10 minutes of his time and he can do 4-5 per hour, if not a more. Do not get me wrong!! He is a very kind doctor and sounds very intelligent which I do not doubt. BUT for hormones. So now I have had a uterine biopsy which will tell me if cancer has resulted. Either way, I have to have a hysterectomy at the end of this month. It is no coincidence that in the past 7 days since this has all taken place that I now have talked to 4 other women who had problems with pellets and all 4 of their gyn had told them "please do not tell me you went to Dr. Grotefendt for pellets...and all 4 had. Why is it that docs in our medical community know of his "messes" and have had to "clean up" after him but no one has taken this to many other levels, including the AMA, Surgeon General, local medical reporting agencies and a thorough investigation begun...well ladies, this is my first day of now being an advocate and taking this to many agencies and insurance companies and with God's grace, he will not be doing pellets one year from now. The word must get out now so you and others you know will be forewarned. If you are getting pellets from him, STOP. Talk to your gyn office mimed. Or call me email me at wwjd@epbfi.com. The staff was friendly enough, but I expected more of a warm welcome from a family practice. I could tell that they took pride in their office's appearance. It was very well organized and well taken care of. They make sure to treat all their clients equally and without favoritism. I've always hated it when I've seen favoritism going on at other places I've visited. It's nice that it doesn't happen here. They always take the time to listen to me. I know they really care about me and what I have to say. They made no attempt to follow up with me after my appointment. It isn't a big deal, but it does say something about the overall atmosphere of the office.

Grotefendt's hormone nurse, LYNDIA, is absolutely PATHETIC!! She's disrespectful, will not return phone calls when she says or is supposed to and HALF-WAY does her job all the time. She is not clear, helpful, or friendly and she couldn't care less about you as a patient -- trust me, you're just a number!! If I couldn't find anyone better, I'd return again, but I'm hoping I can find better service somewhere else. I would never refer any of my family and friends to go here. If I had know how terrible they were I never would have gone!!!

The restrooms here weren't that clean, but they weren't out-of-control disgusting. I didn't mind using them but would have preferred a cleaner facility. The restrooms were very well-stocked at this provider's office. They always have toilet seat covers, paper towels and toilet paper and never run out.

There was lots of available parking at their office. I was glad that I didn't have to drive around looking for parking. They have some of the best customer service I have ever seen. Putting their customers first is definitely a priority here and it shows. The staff was warm and welcoming, which I appreciated. They are very friendly there.
