I began having severe digestive health issues starting summer 2009 during a 4 month trip to Missouri. When I returned to Pottstown, I was growing very ill, frequently vomiting (often 2 or 3 times weekly), nauseated ALL the time, chronic constipation (# 2 once or rarely twice a week), occasional bloody diarrhea, severe stomach pains, inability to keep most foods down, and chronic endless insomnia. I went to see this clown at least 3 or 4 times before he gave me a referral to a gastric specialist. By this time, I had been rushed to the ER twice with severe pains. I had grown even sicker by that time, and had tried changing my diet, meditation, prayer, ginger slices, positive biofeedback, relaxation, anti-nausea/anti-vomiting meds, you name it I tried it. Dr. Chang constantly told me I was having irritable bowel flares and panic attacks, and gave me Phenergan (which didn't work) and then gave me Zofran (which he told me to take as much of as I needed, and I began figuring out his "lingo": he'd ask me if an anti-nausea med made me tired. If I said yes, he would not prescribe, while he would give me 2 or 3 refills if I said no.) Finally I expressed that I had done MY homework and that IBS did not entail vomiting to the kind of extreme I was experiencing, and I was sent for an ultrasound. Guess what? A ton of gallstones were found. My gallbladder was removed on December 17 or 2010, but I'm still very sick, and still vomiting and still unable to sleep.

Oh, and he's told my mother--who not only had severe kidney disease as a little girl, who is suffering from bouts of severe lower back pain and vomiting, who smokes up to two packs of cigarettes a day--that she is, in her words, "perfectly healthy". He has given her a huge prescription of a powerful painkiller that completely knocks her out, with four or five refills, on a huge bottle of something like 150 pills.

My advice? Steer clear of this clown. You'll be glad you did, because one day he is going to make a mistake, and he's not just going to be wrong--he is going to be DEAD WRONG.
