In my 25 years of experience working for and with doctors, I have never met one with such a rude, arrogant and obnoxious demeanor. He had no bedside manner, interrupted constantly, wasn't interested in listening and had a know it all attitude. His advanced age (around 70 years old) was likely a factor since he comes from a time when doctor's weren't taught about bedside manner in med school. Instead they were taught that their word was law and patients shouldn't question them. My husband and I were both truly appalled by this man. His list of medications for my aunt was outdated and incorrect but he had no interest in hearing that information or making changes. He was rough when examining my aunt and belittled the pain she was experiencing. We are guardians of my aunt with dementia and was there to have her seen for broken ribs..he was so abrupt and rude that even she disliked him. He had no training or background in dementia but basically pronounced that there was nothing new to help dementia patients and spoke negatively about the condition right in front of her. We were there to be seen for potential broken ribs, not a pessimistic lecture in front of my aunt about the hopeless outlook for dementia. As a master's level therapist specializing in dementia, I knew he was wrong but his loud, abrasive manner made it impossible to have a conversation with him.
