Dr. Eric Zweifach has provided me with over 17 years of wonderful eye care. I've seen him for standard vision/contact lens evaluations, eye infections and laser vision treatment consultations. I've always found his services and advice very helpful, thoughtful and professional.

Dr. Philip Zweifach and Dr. Eric Zweifach (a father/son team) have been my opthalmologists for many years. I’ve gone to both of them over the years and have found them to be extremely competent and responsive to their patients. The office staff are friendly, courteous, and always willing to help. Even when eye problems have arisen when I am out of town, the doctors are right there to help with a prescription and an appointment as soon as I return. I recommend them most highly.

What do you want in a DR.? Especially one that helps you see and stay connected to the world? For me, I want a Dr. that I totally trust . Dr. Zweifach operated on my cataracts. I never felt more comfortable with any Dr. and I was back 6 weeks later to get the other eye done. Today I see better than I have in over 50 years.
Dr. Zweifach inspires confidence, is enjoyable to visit, and always clearly explains what he see and really inquires if I have any questions.
HIs staff is courteous and his office is both convenient and comfortable
But most important, Dr. Zweifach is a terrific Dr.

I have been a long time patient of Dr. Zweifach's and recently needed to look up his zip code to mail in a payment and saw how negative his ratings were online and I was shocked to say the least! Dr. Zweifach might be a little expensive up front because he doesn't accept insurance but I always get reimbursed from my insurance company. Aside from that, the care that you receive from their office (I have seen both the father and son) is amazing. The personal attention you receive from the doctors and their staff is well worth laying out some cash. Excellent health care does not come free or cheap! I would much rather spend $325 on a visit to Dr. Zweifach and know that I am receiving great care with personal attention than buy a pair of shoes or some other frivolous item.

Although the doctor does not take insurance and the exam was a few hundred dollars, it was well worth the money. Not only is the office staff very pleasant to deal with (they were able to schedule me for the very next day), the doctor himself is wonderful. He was very patient in explaining my condition and took more time than most doctors would to answer all of my questions. I will certainly be a patient at this office for years to come.

I had been going to this office exclusively since I moved to New York in the late 80's. This was always for eye exams when my license was up for renewal. The Doctors are a Father and Son team and were always nice and quite competent. Recently I went for my exam and when I got home I noticed my bill was $325 which I thought was pretty darn steep. I had the eye exam, the drops to dilate etc. but I never remember the cost being so great. I called to question this and mentioned that I didn't have insurance and I was told by the not too cordial receptionist that he would speak to the Doctor and call me. He called back and said that was the rate and nothing could be done. After this I wrote a letter and thought they would try to offer some assistance but they refused. I did pay the full charge and asked for my records. Perhaps I should have asked their rate in advance but it had never been extreme in the past. I asked several friends who go to eye Doctors often and they all thought this bill was a lot. Anyway, this just felt like a bit of a nasty shakedown and the rude receptionist, clearly not the sharpest tack as they say, made the situation worse. It would have been nice for the Doctor to just give me a brief call at least to discuss and explain it. Well, Lesson learned!
