After visiting David Feldman numerous times for a colonoscopy, endoscopy, and the whole 9 yards, I can say Feldman more or less knows what he's doing. His office staff, however, is horrific. When I discovered they were committing medicare fraud--among other excruciatingly frustrating things about his billing and booking staff--I reported it to my insurance provider and promptly left his office and receiving my records. About three months later I received a note from Feldman's staff letting me know that he was "withdrawing from further professional attendance upon [me]", and included the option to have my record released. This just goes to show you how detached his office is from what is going on... It feels like I broke up with a boyfriend who then called me back a month later to tell me he was breaking up with me. Regardless, don't waste your time--and more importantly, your money.

When I first read reviews of Feldman, I said meh, who cares if his assistant is rude. Well, the odds are that if you are seeing a GI to begin with, it's probably not going to be a one-time appointment kind of thing, so be prepared to deal with the extreme rudeness that ensues. No wonder Cindy--his wife, mind you--is working here--she's too rude to get a real job not working as her husband's assistant. The most recent issues have been that I had bloodwork done for the third time and the doctor would not call me to discuss the results. I said it sounds like you are just trying to get money out of me if you want me to come in for a follow up to have a 5 minute discussion about bloodwork. Cindy laughed and said "I can assure you that's not the case." I said "OK, then are you going to charge me for this follow up?" and she laughed and said "OF COURSE! Is the doctor's time not valuable to you!?" Note that they are CASH ONLY--the biggest sham of all time. I have an outstanding balance for God know's what (since I pay all my copays) of $188. They sent me something in the mail that said please send a check or money order. Cindy calls me today to reconfirm my bloodwork 5 minute follow up and says please bring cash or a money order for the balance. I said the letter you sent me says check or cash. She said "if you show up with a personal check you will not be seen." Wow Cindy, way to threaten your patients! I am so done with this office. Don't even waste your time.

Dr. Feldman is an EXCELLENT physician. Why? He *studies* his field, he keeps current. This is not some fly-by-night doc who just keeps passing the buck. Dr. Feldman is curious about the latest research and is open to out of the box interpretations of complex phenomenon. That said, he is not swashbuckler of any kind, he hones very close to the most reasonable, orthodox approaches to common G.I. ailments. I highly recommend this doctor.

I believe Dr. Feldman is a copetent gastroenterologist. His manner is somewhat detached - but tell me an MD's who's isn't. His wife is part of his office team which seems unprofessional. Some staff are rude, some are wonderful. It seems as if procedures are high on the list -- I don't think I would ever get a call back from this doctor or a sense of concern. Definately need to make an appointment to talk to this MD and pay the co-pay. Like I said, I consider the man a good doctor and so I keep seeing him.
