Not recommended. Locals call her 'Doctor Heartless'. If you're not 100% compliant (i.e. you have a toothache that makes you a little jumpy, or if you have a gag reflex of any kind), she stops the appointment and tells you that she can't help you. She leans the chairs back farther than any other dentist I've ever been to (I've worked with several), and if you don't like it, you're invited never to return.
If the x-rays do not turn out 100% perfect on the first try, she has her assistants continue to retake them until they are. This often means 4 or 5 films of the same tooth, which means you're getting MUCH more radiation than is recommended. She instructs her employees to lie and tell patients that they're getting "about a hundredth of the radiation used in the old process, so it's okay" -- even though that's an outright lie (it's actually 1/2 the dose of radiation, but if she's taking 4 or 5 films, that means it's a lot more).
If you're not already a patient in good standing, she won't schedule you for an emergency appointment within a couple days, even if they has openings. I think it's a way to punish people who don't have regular exams.
She requires same-day payments, and if she thinks you look poor or come in for an emergency visit, she asks for payment in advance, before the appointment begins. She never offers financing or assistance -- if you can't pay, she won't help you.
How do I know all of this? I used to work for her. Worst dental office I've ever worked for.

Definitely! It was one of the best dental chairs I've ever been in!

No, They definitely believe in quality over quantity and allow more than enough time in between appointments

Dr. Hartman's office has been nothing but problems. Little ones, like getting 3 reminder calls (a week, a day, and 15 minutes before the appointment) and ALWAYS having to pay twice because they charge more than my insurance thinks
is fair (so I have to go back and cover the difference), and big ones like coming in with one simple cavity and not being able to get it fixed. When I went in she found 3 other things she said would be a problem "some day", had me make 2 appointments. At the first one she fixed the OTHER things, not the tooth that actually hurt. She tried to fix it at the 2nd appt, but left a bump that needed another visit to grind down, and the same tooth is really starting to hurt again after less than a year (and I just had a regular checkup). Time to find a new dentist.

I have been to Hartman Dentistry on 4 seperate occasions. I have been over charged all 4 visits and had to ask for my money back. They also billed my insurance for Floride treatment & x-rays I never had. My insurance rep had to ask for the monies to be returned. On my last I had 4 porcelin filling to cover exposed roots. I had 3 done 1 day and the following week I went in to have the last one filled. I told 3 people upon this visit that the other 2 filling were rough and needed attention. When Dr. Hartman finished the 3rd filling I explained to her that the filling is still very rough and the other 2 needed some work. Dr. Hartman attempted to smooth all filling and when I told her they are all still rough. She became extremely agitated and started rolling her eye asking what do I want from her. By this time she was really hurting me. I asked her to stop. I had had enough. I was numb but now so in pain I was in tears. She roughed ou my gum s so bad they were bleeding and did so for hours. My gums became swollen, purple, so sore I could not drink anything without being in terrible paid. I missed a day of work. I suffered for a total of 3 days. I will never go to Dr. Hartman again and everyone I see I tell them what a horrible Dentist I think she is. She needs to be ran out of town or let me work on her teeth.

They briefly listened to me, but quickly downplayed everything I said or stopped paying attention. I was never able to relax during my appointment. I was on edge the whole time. My teeth cleaning was very uncomfortable. I feel like a lot of the pain I experienced could have been avoided if they had been more careful. Every time I would start talking about my circumstances, they would argue with me or get mad. I was scared to say anything because I didn't want to make them upset.

Immediately! They gave me a friendly greeting as soon as I walked in

Definitely! They lasted even longer than they were supposed to

We have used this clinic 2 times. Our son needed to return for some fillings we were appointed some dates for him to return. We were unable to make the appointments do to working and not being able to leave our jobs, I called the day before to cancel them. I called today to reschedule them and they said that we were not allowed by their policies to make any more appointments because we had missed the previous ones. I am not sure how other clinics do it but I thought that this was rude. The service that we did receive was very good and I was impressed with how they treated us up until this call. So if you choose this place be sure not to miss any appointmentd.
