I have been going to Dr. Romano for a little over 3 years now. He has hired new front desk within the past year and a half (the lady prior was not so nice) but the new girl is very helpful and always willing to answer any questions I may have. I've never had to wait and you can tell he's worked in dentistry a long time. He will give it to you straight and wont try to sell you everything under the sun like a lot of these corporations do. I will continue to go to Dr. Romano as I know he has my best interest in mind and always goes a great job.

I really have to keep on top of watching the EOBs from the insurance company with this practice. When I first started going to this dentist, I would only receive the receipt from my credit card. It wasn't until calls to my insurance company I was advised to ask for the invoice. Now I always ask for it, otherwise it isn't practice for them to provide. On more than one occasion I have overpaid for service and then have to wait and continue to call before my account is credited. For this reason, I have removed my children from the practice and am very close to leaving myself. I like how Dr. Romano cleans my teeth, as I'm very sensitive in that area. However, due to the billing practices, I would not recommend this practice to others.

Going to the dentist is not on my list of top 10 favorite things to do, but never did I expect it to be quite as miserable as during this visit. I recently moved to the area and chose Dr. Romano from my insurance PPO. On my first (and last) visit, he hooked up the water sprayer to an electric gizmo that sort of sanded away at the plaque. While this took far less time than the usual pick and mirror other dentists use, it was far less comfortable. Who likes that high pitched squeal that immediately reminds you of getting teeth drilled? Additionally, because the water sprayer was attached - my face was soaked by the end of the appointment. To remedy that, Dr. Romano used my bib to blot my face - the same bib he used to periodically wipe his electric pick gizmo! Disgusting. I also had an infection in the gum around a wisdom tooth that was coming in. After telling him how painful it was to even open my mouth all the way, he immediately jammed his mirror back there and used his finger to press on the gum. Ouch! All in all, he was very aggressive (read: not gentle), hasty and not entirely pleasant. He didn't even introduce himself to me - and this was my very first appointment! One other thing I thought was strange was that he had no dental hygenist assisting him - you know, the one who's supposed to be holding the water sprayer and periodically using it to rinse out your mouth? I'm never going back - and I'm CERTAINLY not letting him pull my wisdom tooth!

Very unproffesional. I got a phone call; saying that my children had missed an appointment and that I would be charged a $70 fee. Unfortunatly I knew nothing about the appointment as it had been set by their mother, (we are divorced) who had passed away 2 months ago. I explained this to the receptionist who was very rude and was told the the appointment had been confirmed. (not by me) and that I would have to pay for the appointment. She asked me when I would like to reschedule when I told her that unless we could get this missed appointment resolved I would have to consider another Dentist, at that point she just hung the phone up.

The one person staff was friendly and professional as was Dr Romano during the visit. Dr Romano did not have a tech assistant so he does all the work to include teeth cleaning. I'm not a wimp by any means having had braces and such as a child but I found him to be a bit rough during the cleaning. At completion, the warm friendliness ceased and I felt as if I had been dismissed. I will return ... until I can find another dentist.

End result: My needs (teeth cleaning and check up) were met .

Note: Housemate and neighbor are content with them. Both need more extensive dental work. May be more specialized denistry than general.
