We appreciate Out of This World Dentistry in West Jordan. We tried a few pediatric dentists before before going to Out of This world, and are grateful we found them. Dr. Todd Allen has a great manner, very capable and calm and is great with the kids. The office staff gives great service, is very nice and personable, and tries to accommodate you with scheduling. We appreciate having a good pediatric dentist to take our children to.

DON't GO HERE!!. My 3 year old had a couple of cavities. They said he'd need to be put under. They quoted me $200 and then charged me $360, almost double. When I called them, they refused to work with me. In hindsight, I wish I would have gotten a 2nd opinion. Find a different dentist!! They recommended a whole bunch of dental procedures that I didn't think were necessary, even after I told them I wasn't interested. I felt like they were just trying to make money off me. They didn't listen to anything I had to say! Whenever I tried to get a word in, they either interrupted me or cut me off before I could finish.

Avoid Out Of This World Dentistry unless you enjoy being "Nickel and Dimed". I sent my teenage daughter in on her own & they did not explain that fluoride would be extra & not covered by our insurance; they just asked what flavor she wanted. Then I took my 13 year old son in they had him see a Pediatric dentist vs. a regular dentist costing me a significant amount more that was not covered by my insurance. Their explanation to me, after the fact, was that I should have known....basically "buyer be ware". Safer still just avoid Out Of This World Dentistry. Their pricing policies are Out Of This World...

I have to say, I have never been so impressed with a dental staff as I have at Out of This World Dentistry. My son who is now eight had a very horrible experience at another dentist. I thought he would never get over the fear of the dentist!!! But his fear turned into excitement once he was done at Out of This World Dentistry. Their staff is so wonderful, I am very impressed with Dr. Allen he explained everything to my son. Once Dr. Allen was done with the exam he explained everything to me, every little detail. I have never gotten so much one on one time with the doctor. Most doctors seemed rushed and just want to push you out the door but not Dr. Allen. I also have to say that their hygiene staff is wonderful. I have never remembered any hygienists name until now because the hygienist at Out of This World Dentistry left me so impressed. His name was Fran, he trully was amazing to my son. He explained everything and he kept my son smiling and laughing the whole time. My hats off to Dr. Allen and Fran, they know what they are doing and I hope everyone gets the opportunity to meet this staff at Out of This World Dentistry. They are trully amazing.

I took my 7-year old son to Out of This World Dentistry for his first experience with teeth extraction and fillings. I was very anxious for him. He needed two teeth pulled and 5 cavities filled. The hygienist put the nitrous oxide on and Dr. Stark immediately wanted to numb my son. I insisted that he wait. When he returned, he began to numb my son, who immediately started crying. Dr. Stark continued without even pretending to notice. He numbed him in the front and then started to numb him in the back, when my son started crying louder. I told Dr. Stark to stop, but I had to tell him twice before he would. I then asked him if he could possibly inject a little bit slower, to which he responded, "I've been doing this for 22 years. I think I know what I'm doing." I should have said that I've been his mother for his entire life and I know what's best for him, but I didn't think of that at the time. He then told me that my son wasn't really in pain; he was just responding to the way I was reacting. Maybe I should have interviewed him before taking my son to him. (Another doctor in the same building, Dr. Allen, did my son's exam last week when he had his x-rays, so I hadn't met Dr. Stark. Dr. Allen seemed nice enough, but he said we had to make another appointment to come back for the work even though we were told differently when we made the appointment, so he struck me as somewhat lazy.) I insisted that slowing it down would help. Dr. Stark then did a couple sealants on my son's back teeth. My son was still very uncomfortable, so I told him to just do enough to pull the teeth so his permanent teeth could come in. So, he numbed my son's front teeth some more so he could pull them. He said my son shouldn't feel it, but it brought him to tears. Without waiting for it to take effect, he put the extraction tool in my son's mouth and started wiggling the first tooth. When my son started crying, Dr. Stark looked at me, and said, "Do you want me to pull them?" I looked at him in shock. Was he asking me for permission to pull my son's teeth without him being fully anesthetized? What kind of dentist was he? I told him that it was his job to numb my son enough so that pulling the teeth didn't hurt, and he just smiled at me stupidly. Then he said that he'd already used enough. I just about lost it. I let him finish the extractions after waiting a few minutes for the medicine to take effect, and let him do the two small fillings at the back of my son's mouth where he'd already numbed him previously, while my son cried. Then I was out of there never to return. It was a horrible experience. DR. STARK DIDN'T CARE THAT MY SON WAS IN PAIN, AND HE WASN'T PROFESSIONAL ENOUGH TO REALIZE THAT DENTAL CARE NEEDS TO BE SPECIFIC TO EACH INDIVIDUAL PATIENT. PLEASE DON'T TAKE YOUR SWEET KIDS TO OUT OF THIS WORLD DENTISTRY. I DON'T KNOW HOW THEY CAN CALL THEMSELVES A PEDIATRIC PROVIDER. The only redeeming quality about the place is their hygienists are pretty good.

I trust them to only recommend dental procedures I actually need. I know they care more about my health than they do about making money. They've never used foul language, which has bothered me at some of the other places I've been too. They always make an extra effort to be polite and courteous. Not only did I find a parking spot right away, but I knew my car was safe because the spots were designated and close to the entrance. I didn't experience any pain during my teeth cleaning. They are always very careful and gentle.
