My daughter goes to school in Salt Lake city. Almond dental is on our insurance. I dealt with Nicole via phone to arrange payment and coverage. She was VERY professional and friendly. She later mailed the receipt to me.
Great service!

Dr. Almond is a very friendly dentist and takes time to listen and discuss things with his patients during each visit. I have enjoyed visiting him for the last few years.

Unfortunately, he has a receptionist, Nicole, who has recently become very unprofessional and unkind. When I was on the phone, upset about the news that they had performed some work that was not covered under my preventive services, Nicole very callously remarked that I sounded "silly" and the whole conversation was "comical."

I later called to discuss the situation with Dr. Almond himself because I wanted to avoid confrontation with Nicole again. I politely asked if Dr. Almond would return my call when he was available and she said she would be happy to give him the message. However, when I gave her my name and she realized who I was she said, "Well Dr. Almond will not call you back, just so you know." It is disappointing to think that Dr. Almond would refuse to speak to one of his patients regarding her medical history.

Because I this, I was forced to discuss things with Nicole again. I tried to calmly discuss the situation and better understand why the services performed were not covered. I even apologized for jumping to conclusions during our previous phone call. However, Nicole very rudely would cut me off and simply and sarcastically say, "We do the best that we can." She continued by saying that she was not sorry for what she had said to me in our prior conversation and that their office was happy to say goodbye to me as a patient.

I personally don't think a dentist office is doing the "best that they can" when they employ someone like Nicole and tolerate that sort of behavior in their office. I would not recommend visiting Dr. Almond's office with Nicole still working there.
