I have been constantly reminded of the deteriorating state of customer service in this country, however; I was focused mostly on convenience stores and fast food establishments. To my dismay this cancer has invaded professional offices as well. I set an appointment with Dr. Garnett's office and had all intentions on attending, afterall the treatment was to my benefit. Unfortunately, I am a working stiff who does not control his own work schedule. I was called into work at about 4 am and the appointment was slated for 8:30 that same morning. I called the office to attempt a reschedule and was rudely told that they would contact me. Needless to say I immediately began looking for a new dental provider. To add insult to injury I received a "bill" because I missed the appointment and when I called to correct this matter I was told that the issue was final. Now $40 will not break the bank for me but the principle of the matter is whats at stake. This "doctor" who is not too busy to accept my money was too busy to get on the phone to hear my side of this petty issue and for that I will not only avoid using his office I will advice friends, family and co-workers to strongly reconsider using him as well.
