I had root canal and is now abscessed on antibiotics and will require dental surgery. Had 2 crowns put on implants that sit above the gum and collect food. Can't even get dental floss between the two teeth. Needless to say I will never be returning to Dr Fishman. Worst dental experience ever.

Our whole family has gone to JFD for years with great satisfaction, that all changed with my young son's recent appointment. My son (who is speech delayed and sometimes needs my help vocalizing what he wants or needs) had to have a couple cavities filled. In the past, JFD has always let me go back with all my children (rest assured, I am quiet and respectful and my kids are great in the chair) but this time, their pediatric dental assistant absolutely refused, saying the dentist had a (apparently new) policy of "no parents." Sorry, but I would NEVER go to a dentist who did not allow parents back with their children. So, I insisted... 5 times... and they flatly refused... 5 times. It was not until I went to the receptionist and threatened to leave the practice all together that they finally allowed me to be with him. Bottom line: I will not be going back. I am giving them 2 stars because their "adults/older kids" dentist, Dr. Fishman, is excellent as is their Orthodontist, Dr. Hilibrand. However, if you want a pediatric dentist who is welcoming or even tolerant of parents, do yourself and your child a big favor and go somewhere else.

Absolutely not. I asked for helpful advice but wasn't given any

Their office was well organized and clean. I could tell they took a lot of time making sure it was presentable. I know that I can trust their motives, and they're not just looking to make money off me. I never have to worry about them pressuring me to get dental procedures I don't need. Their primary concern is my safety and comfort, and they always take the time to address every concern of mine immediately. They were so kind and attentive to me. I didn't have to worry, I felt comfortable and in good hands. Only one issue I absent mindedly forgot to make a payment, and was never called to be reminded so when I did call because I had a problem I was immediately put on the phone with the billing person and they wanted the entire amount and refused to let me make automatic payments, threatened to put this on my credic report. When i asked why didn't they call and remind me that I had missed a payment? I was told they sent a bill , that I did not receive. So I was told I could not see the dentist unless I paid in full now, and I honestly did not have the money. So due to this horrible chain of events I can't go back to the dentist I was finally completely comfortable and happy with. I would love to go back.
