They ignored my questions and my appointment seemed rushed. Their staff was not friendly at all, I didn't feel welcome there. They didn't help me as much as I was hoping and didn't answer all my questions.

Wow, this dentist was so rude to me, he got so angry and annoyed when I was answering a question of his but he claimed it's not what he asked and that I'd already said enough when I said yes/no. Apparently adding detail was not allowed. He snapped at his assistant too, made me feel so uncomfortable. The receptionist at the time, was a really mean larger man. He claimed that I had missed an appointment and refused to let me come back for a follow up after the physical therapy. But that was untrue! Anyway, I was OK with being barred from there because the whole experience was miserable.

His fees for services are very high and he is not a preferred provider, so he is able to charge whatever he wants.

Also, I initially received an invoice with interest charges. I called to state that I was not aware interest would be charged and was told that the interest was reversed farther down on the bill and that I was not being charged, which was true.

Due to an issue with my insurance company, all the claims through his office were being reprocessed, so I did not know what amount I needed to pay. I communicated that to Dr. Higdon's receptionist and he never said I needed to make a payment or interest would be charged. The next bills I received showed I was being charged interest. I talked to Dr. Higdon's receptionist and explained that I was previously told I was not being charged interest. He was very rude and said I could not expect to not pay interest when it has been outstanding for a long time. I explained again that I did not know what amount to pay because many claims were being re-processed and therefore the balance owing was going to be less (at that the claims were still be processed). He refused to take the interest off. After talking to my insurance company to try determine the status again, I called Dr. Higdon's office to try to make a payment. There was no answer. I left a message stating I wanted to make a payment over the phone. No one called me back. Two weeks later I called and left another message stating I had called before to make a payment and not received a call back. Still no call. I called today and when I identified myself, his receptionist said, "Oh there you are!" I asked what that meant and was told he was going to call me, but lost my note. Not sure why he did not look in my file for the number. Anyway, I asked for the balance owing and gave him my credit card information. Then I told him I wanted to make sure I was not being charged interest for the last month while I was waiting for them to call me back. He said, "We are not going to go over that again! I told you before that you cannot expect us not to charge interest on a balance that has been due for that long. I tried to explain to him that I had called a month ago to make the payment and that I should not have to pay interest from that point forward and he said, "You blew it! You blew it!" I said, "What do you mean I blew it?" He said, "The amount I quoted you did not include the interest, because I had written if off. Now I am going to add it back in." I told him he was very unprofessional. He said, "I guess I have some growing up to do!" I asked to talk to Dr. Higdon and he said he was busy.

It is a strange office. I'm not sure what is going on between the doctor and his receptionist, but something is strange there. The receptionist is very unprofessional and rude. I recommend you find a different office to go to if at all possible! VERY STRANGE!!
