The staff was very friendly and helped me feel comfortable when I was feeling nervous and made my visit as enjoyable as a visit to the dentist could be. Definitely recommend this practice to anyone!

FYI

I was personally told by this this practice that they hired a company to improve and manage their online reputation after negative comments/reviews began to be posted about them. Some of these fantastic reviews are suspect. As a former patient, I experienced ok service. After leaving them, I found a much better experience. I would not recommend.

After my encounter with Douglas Markin's dental practice I strongly advise you to find someone else.

Douglas Markin's office charged me a "no-show" fee after I canceled my appointment. To make things even worse, I was told from his office assistant that Douglas Markin was charging this fee because I posted a bad review online about my experience there. I am still trying to get this resolved as of today.

This dentist is all about chair time. While in the chair I was told stories about people with coverage. Instead of the dentist addressing expensive problems that would not be profitable due to billing restrictions due to certain insurance providers, Doug would wait to let the patient know about some issues and hope their coverage would expire. Then Doug would let them know about these issues.

I went there and for about a year they wanted to always do x-rays and a dental exam. It made sense when the lady who was cleaning my teeth explained to me "chair time." A tooth cleaning is 55, but when Doug comes in for 30 seconds to let you know you have toothbrush abrasion, its another 35, and x-rays are about 100. So a 30-45 minutes cleaning is now an extra 15 minutes and an additional 135 for a total of 185!

Also, I recently had a personal experience of them not informing me of small problems before they turn into a big one.

I asked the lady what happened to just providing good dentistry, and guess what, no response!

Good luck, but beware of what is the truth with them!
