Dr. Lofgren is a caring, and dedicated therapist who listens well. You may need to get used to his quiet manner but he is very helpful and is excellent at diagnosing medication if you may need it. I know he has helped me a lot in a short space of time.
As one reviewer said, he sometimes may be slow about a return call but if you need to, call back and he will get back to you usually that day!
Not sure why one reviewer complained about traffic as there are several parking lots nearby and metered parking nearby.
I would highly reccomend him.

I would highly recommend Dr.Sten Lofgren to anyone looking for a psychiatrist. He is very well trained in adult psychiatry, psycho-dynamic psychotherapy and neuro-psychiatry. Dr. Lofgren has an excellent understanding of both the chemistry of the brain and the psychology of the personality. More importantly, he is a deeply caring and highly ethical practitioner. I always feel safe and respected. I know I can count on him to explore with me draining and difficult material. Therapy is often frightening work - when looking into those dark places it helps to have someone, like Dr. Lofgren, who knows what they're doing.

Dr. Lofgren was my psychiatrist a number of years ago. A few months ago I needed these services and I looked him back up. I felt that it would be best to have continuity in care so in distress I called him and left a message looking to make an appointment. I did not hear back in over 24 hours so I called him back and after leaving a second message he called me back. Additionally, over the course of two visits, he promised to look up my old files with information about my prior medications and he did not get around to going into the garage where these files were located. The third big problem was when he called in the wrong medicine to the pharmacy. The pharmacist realized that the combination of medicine and dose was not possible and tried to reach him he but he was MIA for two days. Both the pharmacist and myself left several messages. I only went for three visits before I realized enough was enough, but two other things to keep in mind. He tends to start his appointments late, and his office is located in a part of West Concord with very unpredictable traffic patterns. One visit I sat in traffic for 20 minutes and it was after the 9 am rush hour. His demeanor is roughly equivalent to a brick wall and if you need psychiatric care, you would be best served looking elsewhere.
