I was a patient for about 15 years. I once trusted and believed that Dr. Sparks and his staff had my best interest in mind. Even when he had me taking five different medications a day I believed but then my reproductive problems started. I went to specialist after specialist and was finally able to have another child with a lot of help. I couldn't prove that all those meds were to blame but my confidence was shaken. When I asked if the meds may have affected me in that way I was kind of shocked by the dedefensiveness displayed. The question seemed vaid to me because by that time 2 of the meds had been pulled from the market, but the response I got was something to the effect of.... Why would you come back to see me if you thought I caused that? I was speechless, but the answer was that I wanted to believe in my Doctor. Since then I have gone for annual check-ups, flu, routine prescriptions and referrals but I don't let him treat anything serious. After much prodding from family and friends I am going to find a new doctor... I only came to Sparks because my first doctor retired and because I grew up in an age that believed in science and by extension doctors, I never thought I'd change doctors again. I finally lost the last bit of respect for him when a Pharmaceutical Representative came in with lunch for the entire staff as I was leaving.... He had tried once again to prescribe Statins for me and he seemed to me to be a little put out when I refused them again.

They paid close attention to me and all of my questions were answered. Their staff is very friendly and professional. I was very satisfied with my visit. They were helpful and I left feeling encouraged. The office was very easy to locate. I didn't have any trouble finding it at all. I have been going to Dr. Sparks since the early 90s and he has been of great help to me through several crises I have had.

When I went in a few weeks ago I waited forever for them to tell me I was pregnant (even though I was pretty sure I was) & then it took them even longer to give me a pap & there was no one in the waiting room when I got there & when I left! Then there were problems with getting my prenatal prescription filled & I got a rude call from one of the nurse's telling me how important it was for me to take my prenatal vitamins after I had already been stressed about getting it taken care of just for a nurse to tell me "your baby could have brain damage if you don't take them"... seriously?

Then I took my husband in a week later because I thought he had strep... the doctor said that he just needs to quit smoking & it was the sniffles only for my husband to go to the clinic at Kroger to find out he had the FLU! THEY DIDN'T EVEN CHECK HIM FOR THE FLU AT THE DOCTOR'S OFFICE! so then I exposed myself to it even more! & now I've got a cold & I really hope it's not the flu... because being sick & pregnant sucks!
