I have seen dr. Shenkman and he is a joke I have been in pain before I went to him an I am still in pain! They were suppose to schedule to do steroid injections an they never did. This doctor is a joke.

I was crippled by a botched double spinal fusion then subjected to unwanted narcotics from so called "pain mgmnt." docs ( none of which helped the pain & which I stopped using ) , useless pain blocking & steroid shots til I found a doctor in N J who took away 80% of my horrendous pain in a nerve burning session . Nerves regrow , treatment has to be repeated every 18-24 months . I moved to SSI, Ga .& went to Shenkman , explained , gave him my records & new MRI's ,told him I was there for the nerve burning ONLY . I stressed that . He performed a cursory exam and agreed . I was given another appointment which I believed would be the treatment . Instead , his NA began to explain their "process " starting with shots , etc . I told her that I had informed Shenkman that I had gone thru these useless procedures and was there only for nerve burning . She very rudely said , " That's our process ; take it or leave it ." I walked out . Recently , I went to his office to get my records & mris . His snotty billing clerk refused . I called the police , at which this Jennifer laughed and said quote ,' Tell them to ask for Jennifer ! " Her attitude was justified when an officer called back and while agreeing that the records did belong to me and they should give them to me , he saw no crime and would not get involved . Interesting. I am taking this to the State Attorney General's office , Consumer fraud division , the AMA & Medicare , they falsely charged 5 visits and 2 procedures which never took place . Shenkman and his lackey have , it seems , committed Medicare and insurance fraud and by refusing to give me my property , he has violated his oath as a physician and broken the law .In my opinion he has shown that he is an unethical quack just out for the money as well as a liar and lawbreaker .

I would never visit them again. I was very disappointed. The PA either didn't read my information or didn't pay any attention to it. Even though she had my information right in front of her and I had been extremely specific with Shenkman that I was there for nerve burning only , not a lot of time wasting ( but profitable for him ) procedures which I've had and don't work She was extremely rude and said "That's our procedure ; take it or leave it ." I left it . His staff refused to give me the MRIs or the records that my previous Doctor in N.J. had sent which is unethical and illegal .

It never fails how long I have to wait on hold when I call them. I'm always put on hold forever and I find myself not even wanting to call. Every time I come in for an appointment, and throughout the appointment, I'm always having to remind them who I am and what my circumstances are. It's very frustrating. They don't treat their clients equally at all, and only make time for their favorite clients. If they didn't like me, they didn't make time for me. He was rude an never treated me for the major health problems I have, He thinks he knows everything, when he wont even take the time to listen to the patient. In my oppion he is a very sorry Doctor. I would'nt recomend him to my worst enemy.;..
