Wish to whom Doctor Chernecky pass his practice when he closed door. He sent me a letter that I misplaced. I wish to know the grkoup who took over if they are as good as he was.
I relocated my 85 year old father to GA. from FL. to be closer to me. Not even a year later I took him to Dr. Chernecky for a colonoscopy because my Dad was having some issues with his bowels. I will never forget that day. I was called back in rather quickly, so I knew something was wrong. There's Dr. Chernecky with a picture of the tumor he found in my Dad'd colon and he's starts talking real fast and I'm in shock. I've just discovered that my father has colon cancer which in itself is pretty devastating. The way Dr. Chernecky handled the situation I will never forget. He was so cold and totally lacked any compassion at all. It was almost like he was mad, or maybe he figured my dad was almost dead anyway, this is no big deal. I could not believe it! This experiance was life changing for both me and my father and to have something so serious and important handled so unprofessional made the experience that much worse. I was told that because there is now a history of colon cancer in my family, it is very important to have a colonoscopy myself. Well, needless to say I found another gastroentrologist who was awesome, I just wish I'd found him for my Dad.
