Not only was I not able to watch TV during my dental procedure, I couldn't even read a magazine or look out the window. I was extremely bored the entire time. The dentist wasn't friendly in the least. I have never felt more unwelcome somewhere. The chairs in their waiting room were pretty average. They weren't top-of-the-line but weren't uncomfortable either.
