They don't really take that extra step to make me feel special. I'm just another client to them. They barely gave me any information at all. I'm going to have to do my own research to get my questions answered. They made no attempt to follow up with me after my appointment. It isn't a big deal, but it does say something about the overall atmosphere of the office. They didn't listen to anything I had to say! Whenever I tried to get a word in, they either interrupted me or cut me off before I could finish. I wasn't greeted at all when I entered their office. I could tell they noticed I walked in, but they still didn't acknowledge me.
I brought my elderly mother in for dental work and there was conflicting information concerning her coverage from her insurance company. Long story short I had to call her insurance company to find out exactly what was covered so I could write out a check while I was standing at the reception desk. The receptionist was defensive and rude and my mom and I were mystified as to why she took such an attitude. After my mother was brought into the exam room the receptionist came back and began to shout at us, I was very upset and have never seen anything like it. The dentist cut me off as I tried to explain the confusion about coverage.
Needless to say we won't be back, my mother was extremely upset. They never bothered to do a followup call to see how she was doing after her dental work.
I've never have experienced such a rude and surreal dental office!

This was the worst dental expirence ever! For some reason after I had kids my teeth start deteriorating on me. I take good care of them, floss everyday brush 2-3 times a day, but still I kept getting cavities. I almost never eat sugar, never drink soda. I saw 2 different dentist while I was there, both were so rude to me. I don't know if that's how they treat everyone or if it was just because I had state insurance. Anyway I can't believe these people call themselves professionals! So I had a few cavities filled and one was pretty deep. So a few days after I had them filled, my teeth were still hurting. I called the office and they said wait it out it's normal to have sensativity. I waited a few more days and the pain was getting worse. I called again and insisted to be seen. I went in and they said I was going to need a root canal, but I would have to wait until my insurance approved it which would take 4-6 weeks! So I said I'm going to suffer with this pain for 4-6 weeks? He said " I'm afraid so". I immediately burst into tears! I had already been dealing with his pain for over a week and couldn't take it anymore! I asked if I could sign something agreeing to pay if insurance didn't cover he said no. I was so upset when I left there. So I went home and got on the phone with my insurance co to see if I could speed it up and they told me they would try. In the next few days the pain became unbearable and my face started to swell, I knew I had an infection. I called the office and they got me in. I saw a different dentist and he was rushing me out the door. He agreed that there was infection he did something that he said should help and if it didn't I would need the tooth pulled. I was freaking out, this tooth was right in the front! So that night I went home and by 3:00 a.m. The infection spread so bad that one whole side of my face and neck were so swollen I could barely swallow. I drove myself to the emergency room where they cut open my gum and put a drain in and gave me antibiotics. This helped a lot, but they recommended I either go back to the office I was going to the following Monday or I could go to the dental clinic where the students practice. Thank god for this guy who put the drain in. I assumed it was the tooth that needed the root canal and so did every other dentist that looked at me. But the dental student who put the drain in for me was the only one who had enough sense to take another X-ray. When I went in the clinic the following monday they were getting ready to pull my tooth, until he came in and said I want to just get a full mouth X-ray first. He found the infection was not coming fom this tooth but from my wisdom tooth! I was sooo relieved and grateful for him. I just can't believe these dentists could be so rude and then turn me away in so much pain and not even investigate what was going. It all just seems so unethical. I hope no one else has to deal with this like I did from these people.

I think the service depends on which dentist you get. I was assigned to a dentist who was very abrupt. He was fast paced and resistant to answering questions. I felt like an object in an assembly line. It was though he wanted to work on as many patients as possible in a day, and that speed was his primary goal. Though on my first visit he said my satisfaction was important, he dismissed my questions and concerns after that. The hygenist was more helpful, and I have found them all to be personable and competent. I did see another dentist when the dentist assigned to me was not available and he was very personable and professional. I wish I had insisted that I, not the office, choose my dentist.
It was not a good experience for me. I felt like an object on an assembly line, not a person. Mine was a long, expensive process. This was the only dentist in my area covered by my insurance, so I had little choice.
