The following are my opinions as a conscientious patient. My family dentist referred me to Dr. Singiser. Dr. Singiser exceeded my insurance reasonable and customary limits with every procedure he prescribed. My family dentist was surprised at how much Dr. Singiser was charging me. My family dentist had another patient complain about being referred to Dr. Singiser because of his high fees.
I tried to reason with Dr. Singiser over his charges. He said no to adjusting his prices. He sent me an overdue bill, telling me he would send it to collection if not paid immediately. I paid $10 of the remaining $45 charges after insurance charges, with a note that I was protesting his high charges. Today I received a letter from a collection agency, even though I made a payment! I have very good credit but I couldn't sit back and not make my complaints known.
I cannot at all recommend Dr. Singiser. I have very good insurance and he still exceeded reasonable and customary charges by far. My family dentist referred me to another Periodontist with whom I am very happy. Dr. Singiser uses laser surgery. The other Periodontist tells me that the value of the laser technique is up for question in some professional circles. Dr. Singiser’s fees are far too high. In the end, this estimates were DOUBLE the estimates of the Periodontist that I decided upon.
Dr. SIngiser is driving up the cost of healthcare to unreasonable levels in my opinion. Watch out and ask his fees FIRST!
