I have been visiting this doctor's office in Davie for a long time. I find him to be patient and more than willing to discuss any concerns I have. Two of the nurses in the office have been with the doctor longer than I have and are easy to work with. A third nurse can be abrupt and somewhat rude but 2 out 3 is pretty good. I very highly recommend this doctor.

The doctor is great!! Nurse is great!! I have to call several times to get my prescriptions called in. Their phone is usually busy or the office puts you on hold forever or until you hang up. Also encountered many problems with their billing codes adding extra cost to me. I keep going back because of the doctor and nurse.

I think it would be courteous to call your patient with results of any tests, good or bad. Patients shouldn't have to chase after results.

I have been seeing doctors for 20 years, the last ten have been crippling. On recommendation from a friend who received successful treatment to alleviate the symptoms of Crohn's disease, I started seeing De. Berndt. He personally took my medical history, it took close to 45 minutes. Initially, after an MRI he couldn't diagnose the problem, just like the many Doctors before him. The difference? He didn't just give me muscle relaxer's and pain killers, he told me we are not going to give up. Finally, he did what I doubt many doctor's can do, discovered a very rare but very treatable condition related to gout. So far I have rid myself of a rheumatologist, an endocrinologist, a pulmonologist and eliminated the need for a psychologist. I went from a handful of pills everyday to a manageable four with non of the old side effects. His passion is age studies, he is 16 years older than I am and looks younger than me. He practices what he preaches. I could go on and on. This guy is gift.
