I was referred to Dr. Melvin by a friend who he had treated a few years ago. Under his care, she has been pain free from a few herniated discs for over three years now. Dr. Melvin and his staff have been exceptional, and though I've had to reschedule appointments/procedures due to my changing schedule, they were accommodating and understanding. His staff has gone above and beyond to help me make decisions regarding my treatments and care and I am extremely grateful!

WARNING!!!!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR!!!!!!!!

Worst staff I ever experienced from ANY doctor!! I called to make an appointment and the guy was very rude and thought my questions were dumb. He finally got fed up with me I guess because he wouldn't answer my question and he hung up on me.

This place was a referral but I will never go to a place that is not professional and courteous. The way the staff is only reflects that the doctor will only be the same way.

I am aware there are many people that do not appreciate the best doctors, but are there only to receive scripts for unnecessary medication.
I know I have found the very best Pain Medicine doctor/anesthesiologist and I’ve been to other doctors in the past 17 years and none looked out for my own best interest. For over 10 years I was literally in a fog and did not even realize it, until I found Dr. Melvin….he really saved my life! I did not know I could feel normal and alert.
He listens to me, explaining things to me in ways I can understand. He is straight-forward, understanding, caring, and concerned about others’ welfare. He also understands chronic pain. You may not be aware of this, but in medical schools chronic pain is covered in only eight hours. A license in Pain Management is very hard to achieve. His credentials are impeccable.
He has restrictions he abides by as he did many years ago. He does NOT condone or supply prescriptions to those not willing to comply with the medical testing necessary to treat his patients and never would.
He has been voted “TOP 50 DOCS” in Orlando Magazine for the past two years. What better doctor could you ever have?
I hope you find whatever it is you are looking for and hope it’s not out on the streets. Too many people are dying from misuse of pain medications! If you really wanted and needed great care, you missed the very best!!

THIS GUY NEEDS TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL AND LEARN HOW TO DEAL WITH PEOPLE .HE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO HELP AND OFFERED NO SOLUTIONS. PAIN MANAGEMENT APPEARS TO BE
LOWER ON THE DOCTOR SCALE THAN ACCUPUNCTURE AND
CHIROPRACTIC MEDICINE. SAD TO OFFER NO SOLUTIONS OTHER
THAN A BAG OF PILLS. I HOPE THIS GUY SLEEPS WELL AT NIGHT
BECAUSE HE SURE MAKES IT DIFFICULT FOR THOSE WHO HAVE
CHRONIC PAIN TO SLEEP. SAD.

Although Dr. Melvin is wonderful, he should file his office staff. The office manager is very rude and so is the surgery scheduler. I have never dealt with an office staff so rude. I am sure Dr. Melvin has no idea that his staff is treating his patients with such disrespect. It is employees like these that lose business for even the most wonderful physicians.
