This was my second time visiting his office. The staff was great and Dr. Stevens was caring and fun to talk with. He also exhibited a great deal of knowledge about dentistry. If you are in South County Orange check him out!

BAD BILLING - Over charging
Dr. Stevens is a great dentist, great touch and very caring - fantastic work. His staff can be rude (Vickie) and billing practices (Vickie) are horrible. Over charging dental insurance and double over charging the patient - saying things like "insurance is confusing'. I have been an insurance broker for over 17 years, I understand insurance. I also understand "In Network" contract agreements and what it means. I know when they are submitting double the in network rate and then passing the difference off to me as if I were a cash patient and NOT billing in-network - which is what I pay for insurance for! Don't get me started on unauthorized charges to bank account which I had to dispute with my bank and replace all of my credit cards so this Vickie didn't keep submitting unauthorized charges of $250 at a time against my bank account.
Unfortunately her actions, bad billing practices and cranky attitude have caused my family of 5 patients in total to leave this practice and seek dental care elsewhere.

I received a $50 bill due to ''cancellation in less than 48 hours'' when they pushed me to make another appointment 12 hours before. Hello?! Did you ever take any math class?!

First of all, I didn't have any bad experience with the dentist, it's just the front desk lady and her attitude that I cannot bear.

On my first appointment, I just wanted to clean my teeth, and the experience was actually not bad, but after cleaning, they pushed me to make another appointment to take care of my cavities the next day. I told them I might cancel it due to personal reasons and they said it's cool. So I cancelled it the next morning, of course the front desk lady was angry on the phone, but with no mentioning of a $50 fee.

So in order to prove how horrible her math is and how mean she can be, I got this bill in my mail a week later.

It just shows how mean they are behind their fake smiles when they know you are not gonna come back again.

Zero stars would be more appropriate. Alike many of the other reviews that I've seen on websites not controlled by this office, people are unhappy about the office staff.
They insisted that I come to an afternoon appointment because my insurance year was closing and they wanted to "use it up" before the new year started. So they insisted that I come even though I told them I'd have my children. They, then, had the nerve to comment on how my child was fiddling with the water cooler.
THAT is nothing. They did every single thing they could to milk the insurance and tried to get me to make another appt. quickly after because the insurance was starting over and they could begin a new set of charges.
They do not honor or guarantee their work because when a crown they put on one year ago broke they told me they'd have to charge my insurance for it. Nice.

They didn't pressure me to buy anything I didn't need, which I really appreciated. I've been to other places that pressured me to buy stuff and it always made me very uneasy. They are an absolute expert in the field. I would never feel unsafe or apprehensive in their care. They've never used foul language, which has bothered me at some of the other places I've been too. They always make an extra effort to be polite and courteous. It is obvious that their office is cleaned regularly. It was fantastic.

I really appreciated that they let me rinse every so often during my dental procedure. I've been to other dentists that never let me rinse and its awful. They went out of their way to make me feel special and respected, and were very sympathetic to my situation. I've never seen more kindness and empathy anywhere else. I thought that everyone on the staff was very nice and friendly. I did feel welcomed during my visit. I would highly recommend Dr. Stevens. He is big on communication and insist that his staff is as well. You always know what you are having done and what it will cost. No surprises and these days it means a lot to me.

Their office was one of the quietest, most peaceful places I've ever visited. I was able to relax very easily. They really go above and beyond to make me feel special. I've never been anywhere that seems to care more about their clients than here. It was easy to get the appointment time that worked for my schedule. The restrooms were very well-stocked at this provider's office. They always have toilet seat covers, paper towels and toilet paper and never run out. One of my pet peeves is bad breath, and one thing that I have always noticed about this provider is that they never have bad breath. I've never even noticed a smell at all.
