I have been seeing Dr Loughran for many years. The care is attentive. I never feel rushed or like a number. The office is very accomodating to get you in for an appointment when needed.

Absolutely not! I was never uncomfortable

Jim listens and talks, figures out what's going on, and usually has a simple way to fix it. He spends time with his patients. He remembers personal details and brings them up to put his patients at ease. He makes you feel like a person instead of a number. He can almost always figure out what's up just by talking and then confirming with a physical exam. I've had problems with pain in my arm and my leg (at different times) and in both instances all my friends thought it was pointless to see my internist about it--"he'll just send you for an MRI." In both cases, he figured it out by listening to my symptoms and moving my arm or leg around. He fixed both problems with exercises and/or simple braces available at a drug store.

He totally acts as a consultant, keeping you on equal footing with him and not displaying any arrogance. He helped us work through the best treatment option for my husband's prostate cancer and helped keep me sane through the whole ordeal.

I'm kind of a hypochondriac and he doesn't seem to mind. Just having him as a resource has cured most of my hypochondria--knowing I can go talk to him if I get really scared makes all the difference in the world.

Sometimes it's hard to get through on the phone, but once you do, you can almost always get an appointment with Jim that day or the next, and if you really want to be seen that day, you can see one of the other doctors in the office who all seem to share the same philosophy.
