Do not schedule with this office. I scheduled an appointment for my son with Theresa and had to book it a month in advance to get it so that I wouldn't have to take him out of school. Two days before waiting a month to get in they cancelled my appointment. I rescheduled. The day before that appointment they told me I had to come in an hour earlier. So I had to pull him out of school early. I got to the office and they said, that I was scheduled at their salinas office. Well no one told me that after I had to reschedule the first appointment you would have thought they would have asked if I wanted to keep it in Monterey. Totally incompetent and rude. There is no customer service with this office.

Does this pediatric opthalmologist use current and safe equipment?

They were very polite and helpful and made sure that I had everything I needed. When comparing them to others I have visited for the same condition, they are among the best I have seen. Let me just say that this business is in one of the safest areas around and you will be pleasantly surprised at how lovely the surroundings are. I'm usually somewhat sensitive to the cold, so I was a little worried that their office would be too cold, but it was fine. I was very comfortable the entire time.

The superior quality of medical care and the highest standards of medical ethics offered by Dr. de Barros is without peer. She is a professional in the finest sense of this word and her attention to detail the care of her patients is extraordinary, especially in light of the demands places upon physicians for their time and attention. I cannot recommend her too highly. It should also be noted that her medical office and telephone have not be updated in this entry. She can be reached at (831) 424-1150.
