I'm a technical consultant for a large number of medical practices in Orange County. I have a pretty good idea of which practices are just average (or worse) and which ones are exceptional. Since I generally believe in not saying anything if I can't find anything good to say, I only review those practices I work with that IMO offer exceptional value for their patients. Beach Eye Medical Group is one of those exceptional practices.

I've been working with Beach Eye Medical Group for about three years now. The doctors and the staff are very professional and they have recently upgraded the office and added several new state-of-the-art diagnostic tools. I've been very impressed not only with the expertise of the doctors and staff, but also with their genuine attention to patients.

The new office administrator is prettty darn serious about the practice and has made a number of positive changes. In fact, of all of the medical practices I work with, she is only one of two that holds an advanced degree in Healthcare Administration - and that's no small potatoes!

Ditto for Dr. Shaw - he is IMO one of the most up-to-date physicians in his field that I have met in the last several years. I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Shaw at Beach Eye Medical Center, and also at Newport Bay Surgery Center where he performs surgeries. IMO you are not going to find a more competant or knowledgeable eye surgeon in Orance County.

I am very comfortable recommending Beach Eye Medical Group.

I love Beach Eye Medical. I've been with them since 1994, before they were "Beach Eye" and I was just a teen in clunky glasses. I literally drive over 40 miles each way just to be seen by Dr McClusky, she's that good. Dr Liegler is the best for contacts and eye glasses, he's very patient and I think he specializes in fitting contacts for keratoconus. Mackenzie is hilarious, very charming and makes you feel comfortable. Dr Shah I don't know very well yet but he seems well trained. Carina, Charlene and the office manager are so helpful - always accommodating me and my tardiness and last minute cancellations. And I can't forget Nell and Tamara, they really know their stuff. :)

My review seems fake but nearly 17 years and two cornea transplants later - it's hard not to rate them 5 stars. I only get one pair of eyes and for me, it's well worth the drive!

Their office was well organized and clean. I could tell they took a lot of time making sure it was presentable. The waiting room here is spacious. I never feel like I have to sit too close to someone or that it is overcrowded. I'm usually somewhat sensitive to the cold, so I was a little worried that their office would be too cold, but it was fine. I was very comfortable the entire time. Although I have never had much to complain about I know that they always adhere to the customer is always right policy here. They take every complaint very seriously and strive to ensure that clients leave satisfied with their visit each and every time. The office was very easy to locate. I didn't have any trouble finding it at all.
