My pediatrician had a death in her family, so three doctors covered for her during the week my 10 month old daughter was ill. We're first time parents but tried not to take advantage of the doctors on call. We did call on three occasions and both Minhas and McGuiness were wonderful, very helpful; the latter came to the hospital both days we were their, since after day four of vomiting, running a high fever and suffering from sever diarrhea, we had to take our daughter to the hospital where she stayed three days. The evening we returned home, we had questions about medicines and fluids. We called him on a Tuesday night (yes, after office hours) around 6:30 p.m. He told me to offer her one thing but the other was not for babies! Concerned, I told him the doctors at the hospital had already given it to her. He said he wasn't going to argue with me and hung up!

We still have unanswered questions, but our doctor returns tomorrow, thankfully.
