I recently moved and needed a new Rheumatologist. Without consulting with my previous doctor OR looking at my records he changed my medicine. (I had been stable on it for the past 6 months with NO flares). Within 2 weeks, I had the beginnings of a flare. When I called the office, not only did he not put me back on my previous meds he changed another one. I was almost a month into this flare and he keeps telling me to give the medicine more time. I made better use of my time. I found a new Rheumatologist who found no problem with my original medicines and ... I am now coming out of my flare. No thanks to Dr. Brackett. I fired him last week and am happy with my new doctor.

If your case is complicated DO NOT let him change ANYTHING until he has seen your records and talked with your other doctors!
