Dr. Tran had been my doctor for 5 years and I feel quite foolish for keeping her as my doctor for so long.
I have had an unknown neuropathy since age 2 (I am now 29) which means I need to be seen by a lot of specialists.
Pros:
1. She generally writes your prescription in a timely fashion
2. She generally granted most of the my requests to see a specialist (I initiated)
3. Miley the receptionist is kind and easy to talk to.
Cons:
1. She is poorly staffed... she has no nurses and nurse practitioners on her staff and she is the only doctor.
2. She has a tendency looking at her watch consistently and making you feel rushed.
3. After five years of being my doctor, she knew nearly nothing about my condition.... Which she actually admitted to when I brought it to her attention after we decided she would no longer be my doctor.
4. During the course of five years she only initiated that I see a specialist once. All other times I had to initiate the process myself. It is clear that I have a physical disability and should be seen by several different specialists. My current/new doctor since September 2013 has initiated me being seen by several different doctors which lets me know that I did not have unrealistic expectations of Dr. Tran.
5. Due to the nature of my physical disability I requested that the doctor request of the insurance to run a specific test. Dr. Tran told me that I probably had nothing to worry about and the insurance most likely would not authorize this request because I am young. I kindly and patiently explained to her despite the fact that she was my doctor and could clearly see that I have a physical disability that my circumstances are clearly not of someone typically in their 20s. After going back and forth with her, she put through the request and insurance with no problem at all authorized the request. Dr. Tran should be ever so grateful that I requested this exam because the results were what I expected and had I not had the exam and something had happened to me I could have sued her.
6. As it was nearing five years, I honestly informed the doctor that after several years she knew almost nothing about my condition, almost never initiated that I see the specialists or have any special tests run, she seemed not to be invested in my care, and that I could have complained to the insurance and a written bad review about her. Instead I wanted to tell her face-to-face because I believe that is the fair thing to. She thanked me and instead of saying she would try harder, she simply said that it was great that I was invested in my own health care. I in no way expected an apology because I understand that as a doctor she clearly feared being sued by a patient if she admitted to a mistake. Unfortunately, her care towards me as a doctor went downhill and I had had enough.
I have never in my lifetime written a bad review about a doctor but I wanted to prevent someone else from going what I went through. I am happy to report that I currently have the most amazing Dr. and I highly recommend doing your research beforehand and finding yourself a good doctor.

Their office was one of the quietest, most peaceful places I've ever visited. I was able to relax very easily. The waiting room here is spacious. I never feel like I have to sit too close to someone or that it is overcrowded. They make sure to treat all their clients equally and without favoritism. I've always hated it when I've seen favoritism going on at other places I've visited. It's nice that it doesn't happen here. Although I have never had much to complain about I know that they always adhere to the customer is always right policy here. They take every complaint very seriously and strive to ensure that clients leave satisfied with their visit each and every time.
