I like Dr. Alexander very much and went to her for many years. However, her staff does not adequately take care of appointments, perscriptions and the like.

Dr. Daryl Alexander is my 16 year old daughter's OBGYN and from my experience with her she has to be one of the worst Doctors in Los Angeles. What ever you do don't use her services. My daughter suffered from nausea and vomiting from the time Dr. Alexander put her on the pill. Over a two year period we've complained about it, then she reduced the dose and the problem persisted so she sent her to a Gastro Dr. who went on to do an endoscopy and biopsy and when they found nothing wrong they wanted to do a Barium X Ray to see if she had Chrons Disease which I refused as all the results showed nothing and there is no cure for Chrons. I took her off the pill and the nausea and vomiting immediately ceased and have not come back. When we went back to Dr. Alexander to see if maybe an IUD would work and she explained my daughter was too young and would probably never get pregnant she prescribed the Patch instead and ordered a number of blood tests from Quest Diagnostics. The nausea and vomiting returned and I took her off the Patch and magically the nausea and vomiting went away. Dr. Alexander ordered blood tests from Quest Diagnostics for Drug Screening that I never authorized nor that I was consulted about the $690.78 not covered by insurance I had to pay Quest Diagnostics for a test I did not authorize. Dr. Alexander never spoke to me nor gained any approvals from me. Do not go to this Dr.

If you like yourself, please don't go to this doctor! I was her patient and changed my doctor, but I am still suffering from problems that could have been totally prevented if she had known better and had acted wisely when she was treating me! Don't trust her with your body! That's all I can say!

I've been Dr Alexander's patient for about 15 years. Due to my job, I live and work overseas with visits back to LA once or twice per year. Dr Alexander always makes time to see me and it is like I've never left. She remembers details about my life and medical history. Her office staff is extremely professional and very helpful answering questions---even when I've called from abroad.

Her office is very clean and welcoming. I never have problems getting an appointment. Lastly, she spends quality time with me. I am lucky to have such a great doc and medical staff to take care of me. Hope she never retires!!!

They go out of their way to make everyone feel equally respected and cared for. I've seen client favoritism at some of the other places I've been, and I really appreciate the extra effort they make to avoid that here. They were so respectful and kind. They went above and beyond what I would expect and really made me feel welcome. Everything they told me in the beginning ended up turning out exactly the way they said it would. They were able to provide me everything they promised me. I've never doubted their abilities. They knocked before entering the exam room, and even waited for me to reply that I was ready before entering. They really respected my privacy.

This provider is average. Dr. Alexander seems nice enough and knowledgeable, but I have had to wait up to an hour to be seen. On average, at least a 20 minute wait. Once, I complained about the length of time I had been waiting so they thought by putting me in an exam room and telling me to change into the gown and sit for 20 minutes in a cold room would keep me from leaving. It didn't. I left. I too am a professional and my time is important. I was later informed that the doctor had a patient with an emergency, but I wasn't convinced it was an emergency since I heard them laughing in the exam room. There was one time when I had some disturbing test results. While the nurse or receptionist called to advise me, I repeatedly left messages for Dr. Alexander stating I had questions, but she never returned my calls. They are, however, insistent that you have your "annual" exams bi-annually or they won't refill your prescriptions. I am not overly happy with the Doctor but I do not like the other options offered by insurance carrier.
