Granted it has been awhile, but believe me, I haven't forgotten. Annette Bey was the assistant to my actual doctor, his name was Dr Lilliwood. My husband and I were living in Beaufort as he was in the Marine Corps. I went into labor 2 weeks early and Annette Bey was called in to deliver my baby as Dr Lilliwood had gone on vacation. The experience was nothing short of hideous! She was curt, rude, and downright hateful. I was 23 years old at the time and this was my first child and I was crying out in pain while in labor. Dr Bey burst into my room and told me to (and I quote here folks) "shut my mouth and stop that screaming". She spoke to me like I was an animal. She was rough handed and rude as well. She had the demeanor of someone who was made to do something they didn't want to do and had a (really) bad attitude about it. Remember she was called in to sub for my actual doctor. This occured in 1991 and I have NEVER forgotten how awful it was. My husband and I lodged a complaint with the hospital Beaufort Memorial. My beautiful daughter will soon celebrate her 17th birthday and I am so blessed to have given birth to her, but as for this doctor, I wouldn't let her put a bandage on my dog, she is just a completely horrible, hateful person.
