It took about three visits before I felt really good about Dr. Sonander. He was a little hard to get to know. I think he is very good and now I like him. He takes a lot of time with you.

Dr. Sonander is highly professional and competent. My 98-year old mother who likes NO doctors, respects him nod actually listens to him. I hane been a patient for more than 10 years and recommend him to everyone. Some folks complain about the long wait times. This is a valid concern, however, most of the delay is due to his taking time to truly listen, evaluate problems and making sure the patient understands. If you want a revolving door doctor who quickly moves patients in and out, you would not be happy with Dr. Sonander. If you want a knowledgeable, caring doctor who listens and cares, you will be happy here.

Dr. Sonander has limited bedside manner but is technically proficient. Terrie Spenst is warmer and seems competent. The front office needs better training: I have heard them discuss patient information in a manner audible to others in the waiting room; sometimes prescription information was not timely sent. Office protocol for setting appointments is weak: they do not (or did not) accept requests after hours, and are not careful to use work numbers when replying to requests. Appointments are routinely over-booked resulting frequently in intolerable 30 -60 minute waits beyond appointment times. Dr. Sonander is an extremely well-regarded physician who needs to make his practice more patient-friendly.

I would never visit them again. I was very disappointed. Every time I had a concern, or if I called to ask a question, the staff made me feel like I shouldn't have called. They weren't helpful at all. They are highly discriminatory, won't book an appointment if you won't give your insurance information over the phone, and argue with you with heated voices if you insist that you will bring your insurance information when you arrive. The woman that answered my call actually put words into my mouth and shouted over me... She even told me that its against the law for them to accept appointments without insurance. WOW.... Cannot believe that if they have a pitpull like her on the phone what the care and service might be like. STAY AWAY!!!!!
