1966 when I was 8 years old Dr. Citty flew by helicopter to treat three children in Arkansas that had Bacterial meningitis, These three children lived in three different counties in AK. I would hear the helicopter coming and would cry because I knew he would make me bend my neck or try when he examined me. He was young. I remember thinking at 8 he looked a movie start. I was the only child that survived. I have always wanted to thank him and have thought of him often. I was in De Queen Hospital at that time and he treated me there flying back and forth for weeks. I have made a RN specializing in Emergency Care. There was article in newspaper during this time about the three of us for BM was rare and very frightening.
