I wish they gave me good advice, but most of the time it is generic advice. My wife goes to Dr. Mick and has been satisified with his personlity. However, I have questioned his diagnosing ability. The most recent was being sent home with a diagnosis and ending up in the hospital two days later with Pneumonia for a three day stay. I also started taking my Mother to Dr. Mick and there was no advice about medication until I brought up the subject on the fourth visit. He then had some suggestions, but I expected advice from the first visit and to be directed by the professional. I have also felt hassles about the appointment process. However, today was the final straw when I drove 50 minutes roundtrip for an appointment, and I was told Dr. Mick is sick and we tried to call you. Sorry! The nurse lied about calling. I had no messages and no missed calls from Dr. Mick's office. It was a total lack of respect for my time and energy it takes to get my Mom to the office, and on top of that the lies told to me. I rarely ever write a negative review, but today I am furious about the way things were handled.

Dr. Mick and his staff are second to none. My family physician of 15 years quit practicing in the area and after a lot of looking around I did a meet and greet (no charge) with Dr. Mick. First, he's a super nice guy and takes time to listen and understand. Never in a hurry to rush me out the door to get to the next patient. He is very thorough. Secondly, he's very competent. The kids all have a pediatrician so they'll probably stay, but my wife will be joining me there soon. My highest reccomendation!

They barely gave me any information at all. I'm going to have to do my own research to get my questions answered. Their staff was friendly enough, but they didn't go out of their way to help me. I felt like my needs were mostly met, but they didn't make any extra effort. My dad has had problems with his back for over a month and a half, and every time we come to Gerald Mick, he does the same thing. He gives him a prescription and sends him home. The back problems have gotten progressively worse and each visit (over 5 visits) have yielded no results. We went to him last week and he recommended us to a back specialist. Well, we have been waiting almost a week now for Gerald Mick to call us about the back specialist but we have gotten nothing. All the while, my dad's back problems have gotten worse.
