My children and I have been seeing Dr. Cohen since 1998. I have always been treated with respect and I have great respect for Dr. Cohen and his staff. My youngest son had a visual motor discrepancy and after a year of treatment by Dr. Cohen and his staff he was able to overcome the disorder.
Dr. Cohen has been my eye doctor for more than 20 years. He is wonderful and can be counted on to be tell you the truth, be fair in pricing, and work with you to help make the best decisions. I will be lost when he retires!
Dealing with this guy is like living in Franz Kafka's novel The Trial. First it took him two tries to get the prescription right.
Then he or his staff managed to replace one of the screws on the frames I provided with a larger size that stripped the thread.
Then when I mailed a check to him to make up the difference that the insurance didn't pay, he or his staff managed to lose it. That was two months ago. When I called a couple of weeks ago to find out why the check hadn't been cashed, I was directed to an answering machine. I left a message, but they apparently found it too much trouble to call me back.
Then they sent me a "final notice" bill a couple of days ago. This, of course, was on a weekend. It is now Monday morning, and when I call them, they are not in the office, and the message says nothing about when they are open and what hours they are open, so I can't drive over there to straighten this out until they show up. I am not about to send them another check in the mail.
One would think that an intelligent human being would have enough common sense to include in the message when they will be there to answer the phone. Apparently no one at this office cares a whit about how much annoyance they cause to their patients. I will not be using this guy's services again.
