Dr. Ahr was THE ONLY psychologist I have EVER found to be helpful/ effective. (I have gone through more than a few, so I feel qualified to give a valid and honest review/ critique.)

Literally, she changed my life! In fact, it began with Dr. Ahr 'retesting' me, and discovering that the school counselor and the psychiatrist that "diagnosed" me years prior had in fact misdiagnosed me! I am not sure about the other reviewer's experience, but Dr. Ahr spent nearly four days testing me (which is nearly four days more than the 'doctor' that originally misdiagnosed me did), and spent over 2 hours discussing the results with me. Dr. Ahr was very professional, yet approachable, did not seemed rushed and was very thorough with me.

Unfortunately, I had to move from Austin, however, Dr. Ahr still did counseling sessions with me over the phone for quite some time. I even called and emailed her several times for various reasons long after we ended our sessions, which she graciously and promptly assisted me. Even to this day, I sometimes find myself quoting advice that Dr. Ahr had dispensed to me. I have been to a few other therapists since, however, none have even come close to being as good as Dr. Ahr!

I HIGHLY recommend her for both testing and counseling.

I love seeing Dr. Kelley! I have never seen her for testing but have seen her several times for counseling. She is great! She has really helped overcome the issues I needed help with. I look forward to seeing her again. The only downside is she is now only doing testing so I am hoping she will start doing counseling again. She was great for individual sessions and couple sessions. I refuse to go to any one else.

Dr. Kelley Ahr is over booked ,always rushed, does not have time for questions and not interested in your child because she is going through so many. She is taking advantage of the insurance system and not giving the children or the parents the time that they deserve. She moves people in and out as fast as she possibly can.
I spoke with several parents in the waiting room and it depends on who your insurance company is and how much she is paid determines how well you are treated. Most of the parent that see her have very difficult children and need help. The report that you get has standard testing information and her recommendations are something that anyone could receive over the internet with a very simple Google search. She gave 4 diagnostic Impressions and only recommended a school accommodation for one.
