Not effective IMO. Often looking at her phone. When things get challenging, regardless that my case was aligned with her "expertise", she threw her hands up and said, "I don't know", while in the midst of a trauma discussion. She just cut me loose after several weeks with no real direction. I can see why people don't want to waste their time with a therapist. I do wonder if I am the only person who experienced this but then again, how many have to do so before it's relevant info?
I went to her for anxiety and she just pushed ADHD, while ignoring some severe history and present stressors. She offered a few child focused books while giving advice rather than discussing a strategy for health and healing. Maybe I missed something.. but she was willing to let my case go without a plan. Sessions were calm and somewhat reciprocal and was typically a simple discussion about what was happening for me day to day with an abuser which was causing pretty intense doubt and anxiety. I would not recommend her as she has no solutions to the field she promotes and feel she is a lazy therapist able to collect the cash and move on quickly. No long term exploration of the self going on here.
