Posted on my facebook after receiving excellent care:

All to often people publicly rant when things go wrong (I'm guilty of it too) but don't publicly send gratitude when things go right. That being said...

Thank you Kate Atkinson, thank you *my mom in-law, thank you *my mom and thank you Baystate Children's Hospital!

This weekend really stunk for Aurora. She's doing much better now. Especially because of all the great support we received!

If you live in this area and you and your family aren't already patients of Atkinson Family Practice... Get on that! Kate made us feel loved, supported and educated throughout this whole cruddy health issue.

I'm serious. Even if you don't have any issue with your current doctor switch, because you will love Dr. Kate!

After I gave Rora a hug Kate said to give from her, Rora told us mid tears to send an air kiss back to her. Think Rora feels a bit close to Dr Kate?

The staff here was rude and unwelcoming. They don't like too hear your side. If they do for some reason it does not matter, because they act like there always right. Totally not a family environment at all. They don't really take that extra step to make me feel special. I'm just another client to them. They didn't give me advice that would benefit me at all. They only cared about what would make them the most money. If you suggest meds, that makes you an addict in their eyes. They had quite a few interesting magazines, which made my time in the waiting room go by much faster. I had to wait forever after I arrived for my appointment. They were running really behind and I was disappointed because it threw off the rest of my day.

The office staff knew all the medical details of my business - no confidentiality at all. They were rude, never followed up on insurance details like calling my insurance company and getting authorizations. Dr. Atkinson was a bully, condescending, arrogant and disbelieved that I was actually in terrible pain. She countermanded her partner's (Dr. Baecher) medical directives (medications and diagnosis) etc... If I wrote down everything that happened to me at the practice I would never be believed. But ultimately I was proved right about my pain by a surgery and a pathology report and never got an, "I'm sorry" from her, but rather was told by Dr. Baecher that she would never change her mind about me and I should probably leave the practice... in other words - leave the practice now. I would have to be on my death bed, seriously, to see this doctor again.

They ignored my questions and my appointment seemed rushed. Their staff was friendly enough, but they didn't go out of their way to help me. I feel like my appointment was pointless. None of my questions were answered, nothing was accomplished, and I felt worse when I left. Dr. Atkinson was rude, and didnt listen to anything i said. Ive read reviews saying that she bullies patients, and I couldn't agree more. The office was easy enough to find. But I will never need to find it again because you couldn't pay me enough to go back there.
