Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup white sugar

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 2 cups papaya, seeded, peeled, and cubed

  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

  • 1 large egg, beaten

  • 1 9-inch graham cracker pie crust

Directions

  • Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F.

  • Add the white and brown sugar together and whisk. Add in the papayas and coat with the sugar.

  • In a large saucepan, cook the papayas for 10 minutes. Add the cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice and stir. Simmer for another 10 minutes.

  • Remove the papayas from heat and allow them to cool to lukewarm. Add the beaten egg and stir until well combined.

  • Add the papaya mixture to the piecrust and bake for 45 minutes. Allow to cool.
