2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
3 tablespoons butter
4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 lemons, zested and juiced
1/2 pound capellini
1/2 cup basil leaves, torn or shredded
Put a large pot of water on to boil for the capellini.
Meanwhile, zest and juice the lemons and chop the garlic.
In a large skillet combine the olive oil and butter over medium heat.
When heated, mix in the chopped garlic, black pepper, torn basil leaves, and zest from the lemons and stir.
At this time, the water should be boiling. Add the pasta to cook.
Remove the skillet mixture from the heat and allow to cool slightly. Slowly add in the lemon juice and one ladle of water from the pot with the pasta.
Place the skillet back on the heat, drain the pasta, and add it to the skillet. Toss to coat and serve.
