1 cup butter, softened
3 large eggs
1 cup self-rising flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup ground almonds
4-5 apples, sliced into small pieces

Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F.
In a medium-sized bowl, combine the sugar and softened butter until thoroughly mixed. Whisk in each of the three eggs individually.
Add the flour, baking powder, and almonds.
Dip the apple slices in lemon juice and add to the mixture, stirring well until they are all covered. Pour the batter into a baking pan and bake for one hour.
