1 pound Yukon gold potatoes, cut into wedges
¾ pound broccoli crowns, chopped
¾ cup shredded Fontina cheese
½ cup nonfat milk, heated
½ teaspoon salt
Using a large pot, bring 1 inch of water to a boil. Steam the potatoes for about 10 minutes.
Place the broccoli on top of the potatoes, cover, and steam until both the broccoli and potatoes are tender, about 6-8 additional minutes.
After steaming is complete, move the broccoli to a bowl and mash. Add the potatoes, milk, salt, and cheese to the mashed broccoli and continue mashing.
Serve warm.
