2 pound ground beef
1/4 onion, chopped
1 teaspoon garlic, minced
1 medium head cauliflower
1 egg
8 ounces shredded cheese, divided
Paprika, to taste
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
Preheat an oven to 350°F.
Mix the beef and onion and cook over medium heat. Add the garlic, salt, and pepper. When browned, cover the pan and simmer on low heat.
Dice and steam the cauliflower until tender and mash to a rice-like consistency.
Line a casserole dish with the mashed cauliflower, similar to lining a pan for lasagna.
Mix the cooked beef, egg, and part of the shredded cheese and add the mixture on top of the cauliflower. Layer the casserole as desired.
Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese and paprika on top of the casserole and bake for 35 minutes.
