Keep my inbox more organized

Isn't it amazing how out of control your inbox can become?!\nOne thing that I do for my particular situation is create rules for emails I get from the same people or places daily. I do this in Outlook and I am not sure if it works with any other email programs. Ex: I create a folder for all my friends, then when I get an email from them, it gets stored in their folder. I also get daily quotes from "My Daily Insights" so there's another folder. I get English and Spanish "Word of the day" so another folder and so on. It helps me keep a little bit organized.
