I was seen by this doctor for over three years and my kidneys kept getting worse. I inquired if there was anything I should not eat or drink and the reply was no, just watch my salt. Never once was I told about a renal diet which perhaps would have prolonged the filtering capability of my kidneys. Never was an ultrasound ordered of my kidneys. In April 2015 I was told I was ready for dialysis I sought another Nephrologist in May of 2015 who immediately put me on a renal diet, ordered an ultrasound and gave me all sorts of information. I will be eventually on dialysis, and I definitely blame my condition on my previous care. I would never recommend Dr. Mukherjee to anyone. He only practices a few hours a week and is not thorough at all. He ordered labs every three months but there was no treatment given.
