Cynthia Dougherty, MD, FACS
Cynthia Dougherty, MD F.A.C.S. is a board-certified general surgeon, with special interest in breast surgery, laparoscopic gallbladder surgery, hernias, lipomas, skin cancer, cysts, and peritoneal dialysis access. Dr Dougherty earned a BA in microbiology and a BA in zoology from Miami University. In addition, she holds a Medical Technologist certification from University of Cincinnati. She attended Medical School and completed her general surgery residency training at the Medical College of Ohio. Dr Dougherty was born and raised in Ohio, but as a life-long horse lover, a move to Virginia horse country was easy. She enjoys fox hunting and horseback riding whenever she has time.
