Dr. Chan earned his medical degree at Columbia University's Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed his residency in the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He also prides himself on his patient care, having received the prestigious Howard Naffziger Award for Outstanding Clinical Service while at UCSF.
