As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I'm passionate about serving my community. I hope my patients see my office as a safe space and see me as their fierce advocate. I want every patient of mine to feel listened to and supported.
During my residency, I began offering gender-affirming care/hormone replacement therapy and am honored when patients trust me to aid them in that medical journey.
In 2022, I was honored to receive the AAFP Award for Excellence in Graduate Medical Education.
I grew up in Macungie, Pennsylvania - a town in the Lehigh Valley - and came to North Carolina for college. I earned my undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University. (Go, Deacs!) My dog, Mandy, and I live in Charlotte, and I'm happy to be only a short distance from my family in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
My hobbies include trying new restaurants; supporting LGBTQIA+ events, including local drag shows; and traveling. Spain, Portugal and Ecuador are among my best-loved destinations. Swimming is my favorite exercise, and Bravo is my favorite channel. (Reality TV is a guilty pleasure.) I also enjoy country music, pop music from the '80s and Taylor Swift.
