I had a personal motivation to get into medicine. My family and I had some health issues, and the doctors who cared for us were absolutely fantastic. I think that's probably what inspired me the most. I decided to specialize in family medicine because I like the idea of caring for the whole family and the whole person-addressing the psychological and emotional needs of patients as well as their physical needs. I'm most passionate about preventive care and overall wellness. As a physician, I promote health maintenance, including managing and improving chronic conditions. Building honest relationships with patients and families is an important part of this.
